R&B Divas L.A. returned to TV One Wednesday night with it's season finale. The show started with 6 ladies and ended with four. Lil Mo, Claudette Ortiz, Chante Moore and Michel'e were the final women standing and performed their "Divalouges".
Kelly Price and Dawn Robinson were absent from this episode due to their own "Not Yo Mama's Monologues". It didn't air but you can see what they cooked up after the break. As for the other ladies, the production went pretty smooth.
Next Wednesday starts the reunion which will be hosted by non other than Wendy Williams and ALL of the ladies and even Fred will be in attendance. Except for Dawn. She was apparently was unhappy with how the producers made Kelly out to be the mean bitch, but oh well. Below is the finale, Kelly and Dawn's crappy segment, and a few spoilers from the reunion.
Only one episode is left and it will conclude the 6th season of The Game which airs on BET. Last night, a new episode aired and it showcased some dramatic character behavior changes. Jason returned after being gone for three episodes and Tasha made him realize the type of controlling and bulling person that he really is. He saw that she was hurt by the fact that he ran his ex-wife Kelly away and is doing the same to Chardonnay. The situation prompted him to write a letter to Kelly.
Kiera and Blue attended her movie premiere and there was a love scene that she didn't want him to see. Of course he saw it, and it takes that tumultuous relationship for another turn. T-T also returned to go into business with Malik after agreeing on giving him a second chance. Lastly, after the night wrapped, Tasha went to visit her father whom didn't give her the best childhood life, five men surround Malik in an empty parking lot after dark. Check it out below.
Say what you want about miss Miley Cyrus, but she is getting her LIFE right now! She's collaborating with all of the hip-hop artists. Kanye West is snagging her for a "Black Skinhead" remix, Juicy J, and Mike Will Made It has her rocking a custom Jordan outfit in their new video and now a new Lil Twist & Justin Bieber collaboration.
Every time you hear her name, the word twerk will follow. The name of this song is called "Twerk". The heavy hitting anthem was produced by Maejor Ali. It's an urban anthem. Sounds like something Chris Brown would have done, but it's hott! It's crunk and ratchet sounding. It will make the perfect club anthem. Listen below.
Apparently Azealia Banks is feeling some type of way about Lady Gaga. Several months ago, word got out that the two ladies we're supposed to be collaborating on music and what not called "Ratchet" along with Beyonce. Banks said they did, it happened....but whatever happened you won't hear it because Gaga dismissed the claims and stated that Banks will not be featured on her album.
She confirmed then news by calling into a U.K. radio station where she praised the Harlem rapper but said she will not be featured on "ARTPOP". So in typical Azealia fashion, she did the only thing that she knows how to do, start a Twitter war. Gaga tweeted a few promotional tweets about her upcoming iTunes headlining festival and Banks had a few words for her. Check out the action below.
With less than two months to go, VH1 is continuously building the anticipation for their much talked about biopic for the hit music group TLC. It's called "CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story" and it stars Lil Mama, Drew Sidora and Keke Palmer.
The film will air exclusively on VH1 on October 21 at 9pm. Until then, check out the latest trailer for the biopic. We get some new clips and like seeing what happened when Left Eye set the infamous blaze that burned down her ex-husbands home. Peep it below.
Shortly after announcing his return to music with a new album called "MMLP2" (The Marshall Mathers LP 2) , which will drop on November 5th. Eminem has dropped the first single from the project called "Berzerk" and the track is just that.
It samples Billy Squier’s 1981 hit “Don’t Say No”. The track was produced by Rick Rubin and I'm sure it won't have no trouble climbing to the top of the charts. The funky track will be released tonight at midnight. Listen to it below.
Miley Cyrus is catching nothing but flack tonight following her performance on the VMA's. All kind of photos are floating across the inter-web and they're not flattering. But this one is. It is the official cover to her upcoming album "Bangerz".
The album will feature Nelly, Big Sean, Future and French Montana and have productions from Mike Will, Pharrell, Will.i.am and more. The album is set to drop on October 4th and is preceded by the single "We Can't Stop" and a new promotional one called "Wrecking Ball". Check out the deluxe edition cover below.
Tonight was full of nothing but surprises. During the MTV VMA commercials, this one aired. It was a Beats by Dre commercial but this one was dedicated to the announcement of Eminem and his big return to music.
The new album is called "MMLP2" (Marshall Mathers LP 2) and it will hit stores on November 5th. Check out the commercial below.
The girls from Danity Kane finally confirmed the rumors of their reunion during their red carpet visit that the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards. The ladies said "we're baaaack", all together, very awkwardly if you ask me. But that's neither here or there.
The exciting news was that they announced a new song called "Rage" which we will be hearing soon. The song was produced by The Sterotypes. Also, what I find interesting is that when asked about Diddy, one of the members said that he always find his way back in, so we may just see him. Peep the clip below.
Leave it to Katy Perry to close the MTV Video Music Awards. She performed her single "Roar" from her upcoming album "Prism" which is due out in October. The champ used a boxing ring as the stage and trained her way through the performance.
Like Lady Gaga, she didn't miss a beat. Though this wasn't as exciting as Gaga's performance, it suffices for someone like Katy. It was smooth, laid back, and to the point. She has also gotten a lot better vocally. Check out her performance below.
Hate him or love him, 2 Chainz is here to stay. The rapper is about to drop his second album "B.O.A.T.S. II: #Metime". No one expected this type of collaboration and it's a damn good one. The song is called "Netflix" and it features Black Eyed Peas front lady Fergie.
The song is straight hip-hop and she even spits a rap verse of her own. The production is just sick and it just shows you that Titty Boy ain't going no where anytime soon. Listen to the song below.
Drake nailed his MTV Video Music Awards performance. He opened with a melody from his hot track "Hold On We're Going Home". He said it was the first time that he was ever going to sing live on an awards show, and he did pretty good.
He ended with his hit "Started From The Bottom" he had the crowd going. Even Rihanna moved her shoulders just a tad bit. By the end, he got a standing ovation from te crowd, including Will Smith, Jaden, 2 Chainz and more. Peep Drizzy doing the thang below.
Justin Timberlake brought the house down as he took over the stage at the MTV Video Music Awards for an entire 15 minutes. He belted out hits from his back catalog like "Cry Me A River", "Rock Your Body", "Sexy Back" and more.
Then he was joined on stage by his former group members N'Sync. The crowd went wild, and Rihanna, Taylor Swift, along with Lady Gaga was seen just dancing along to the tunes. He kept the party moving and the crowd was nice and energized. Check out the awesomeness below.
Kanye West returned to the MTV Video Music Awards, this time, he didn't interrupt any award winners. But he performed one of the songs from his latest album "Yeezus". It was a simply, but energized performance with him standing in front of a pack of trees that were used to lynch folk.
He performed "Blood On The Leave" with some very hefty auto-tune to back him up. Once he got into the zone, that damn hand went to flying! I thought I was watching someone vogue...I'd hate to get slapped with it because it was just outta control. Check out the performance below.
Say whatt you want about miss Miley Cyrus. She gave me all my life when she hit the stage on the VMA's. She performed her summer hit "We Can't Stop" while she was surrounded by thick bitches and stuffed teddy bears and twerked like no other. She then stripped to her bra and bikini as Robin Thicke made his smooth ass to the stage.
She gave him the twerk of a lifetime, I'm sure Paula Patton won't approve when he gets in tonight. As her performed his chart topping single "Blurred Lines", miss Cyrus strutted her stuff across the big stage. Then, 2 Chainz appeared with lines of dancers as he quickly spat a rhyme along with Kendrick Lamar as they helped performed the new single "Give It 2 U". Check it out below!
Now this is how you open a show! Lady Gaga slayed my life. She opened the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards show tonight and she set the stage ablaze. She performed "Applause" which is the first single from her upcoming album "ARTPOP".
The entire performance was energetic. She changed outfits and wigs at least four or five different times within her five minute set. The killed it. Her body was banging, the dancing was amazing and those wigs had choreography of their own. Check out the show stopping performance below.
The girls are back! Danity Kane just released a few promotional pictures for their comeback. Dawn Richard, Aubrey O’Day, Shannon Bex, and Aundrea Fimbres are ready for war. Last week, the girls uploaded a countdown onto their official website.
That countdown ends today and tonight the ladies will hit up the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards where the plan on making a very special announcement. It could be a new single, a new video, album release date, or performance. Who knows. Until then, peep a few more pics below.
Not a day goes by that I don't think about this woman and the impact she made on music. Every song I hear, I can hear some Aaliyah inspiration behind it. Thanks to Chris Brown and Drake, we got to hear something new and fresh from the late singer. She died 12 years ago today when her plane crashed while eave the Bahamas. She was filming what was her last music video for "Rock the Boat".
Her music lives on, it plays and play and plays. Her fans keep her spirit alive as well. Now lets just hope we can get that album that was promised over a year ago. I'm sure fans would love it. Same thing with the biopic. Last I heard was that Solange was supposed to be portraying her in a film, but I don't think that's true. Rest In Peace Babygirl. We'll always love you!
Her single "Roar" has came and conquered. All that's left for it to do now is become #1. Katy Perry is set to release her new album "Prism" on October 22nd. But before then, she will grace us with another single. To help do so, she wants her fans to decide what single it should be.
"Walking On Air" & "Dark Horse" are the two songs in question and she's also unlocked two snippets for the songs. To vote, just go to Twitter and tweet either #WalkingOnAirNow or #DarkHorseNow to cast your vote. Listen to both snippets below and see which you like better.
Remember New York a.k.a. Tiffany Pollard a.k.a. The HBIC? Well she's back .The "Flavor of Love" and "I Love New York" star is coming back to screens with a brand new reality show called "Ratchet Queens". The news came from her as she released a statement on Twitter and flooded her Instagram with a few promotional videos.
There's no word on what station it will air on or any further details about the show or what it is about, but all I know is that I will be tuning in because I absolutely love her and everything that she stands for! Check out the videos below.
To help celebrate the release of his new sneaker line with Converse, Wiz Khalifa dropped a new track today called "Look What I Got On". Inside, he practically brags about all that he has and what he has on. If you tried to spend like he spends, you would go broke.
The new father of Sebastian and husband of Amber Rose is still working on his album "Blacc Hollywood" and it is set for release later this year. Give the track a go below.
If you thought she pulled the plug on her album because it was offered on Groupon, you better think again. Ciara is still pushing forward and she's releasing not one but two singles from the album "Ciara". The next to impact the U.S. is "Where You Go" which features Future and the international single is "Overdose".
The news come from the dark haired singer herself as she sat down with Hollywood Life and dished on the songs. She also talked about her VMA nomination for her "Body Party" video, her love life with Future, working with Nicki Minaj and Chris Brown. She wants to re-collaborate with him and do a video because she feels that something big would happen! Check out the interview below.
He's been on the scene since 2004, which makes it nearly a decade since Chris Brown has made his mark on the music industry. He's released 5 albums "Chris Brown", "Exclusive", "Graffiti", "F.A.M.E." and "Fortune". A sixth is on the way called "X". We've seen him rise to the top with his good looks, dance moves, high profile endorsements, movies and more. Then we saw him fall to low points.
The Rihanna incident, being banned from award shows, people, friends and fans turning their backs on him. Even stil ltoday, he's slowly picking up the pieces to his music career. Now he's taking a turn to do a biopic. He annouced the news via Twitter today and said that director John Singleton will be doing the flick. He crafted the iconic "Poetic Justice" and "Boys In The Hood". The biopic is called "The Chris Brown Story".
Hey Dimp, I've been visiting you're blog on a regular for about a year now and I see that you rarely post anything about hip-hop artists, video, or new music. I think that you could see more people visiting your site if you featured more hip-hop on it like Kendrick Lamar, 2 Chainz, Juicy J. They're all good.
I know that there is rarely any gossip about them, but they're always dropping music and tracks. I think you should really incorporate them on your site. It will add a bit more flavor to it.
My response below...

Law & Order SVU are testing the waters again. A few months ago, the showed aired an episode that was based off of Rihanna and Chris Brown's abusive relationship. The show ended it with killing off the Rihanna portrayed character. It was some of their best ratings to date. The producers indicated that their goal was to tackle domestic violence issues. Now they're stepping into Paula Dean & Trayvon Martin's stories
According to Entertainment Weekly, actress Cybil Shepherd plays the celebrity chef who shoots and kills the Trayvon Martin character. This episode will tell the story of a celebrity chef woman who thought she was being perused by a rapist. She turns around and see's that it's an African-American teenager and still pulls the trigger. She will stand trail which will very closely mimic Geroge Zimmerman's trail.
Justin Timberlake always brings sexy back...and he does so with style. The singer is gracing the Cover of Russina's GQ magazine. He just wrapped up his joint stadium tour with Jay-Z in the US and is gearing up for his MTV VMA performance.
Word has it that he will reunite with his N'Sync buddies for a special performance. But who knows. Also, the second half of his "20/20 Experience" album will hit stores next month. Are you excited yet? Maybe you will be after seeing a few more pictures from his GQ shoot below.
It's been decades since we heard new music from Christina Milian. The singer has been on hitus for quite some time now. She was working on a new album called "Zipper" when she was with The-Dream. They were married, had a baby, divoreced and then some and since music had been scrapped.
Now the singer signed to Young Money records and this is one of the tracks that she's crafted since joining the team. The song is called "Encore" and it's a mainstream, pop/dance track. She's targeting the mainstream audience , not so much the urban listeners. Check it out below.
Wow! President Obama just dropped a bomb shell yesterday as he revealed his plan to wipe out 100% of the nations federal student loans by November 1st. He states that this is America and not the 19th Century in England.
He feels that the banks should be held accountible for the terrible loans that they've given out over the years. His plan is to wipe out a total of $900 million in federal student loans on November 1st and no further paymens need to be made after that date. Check out the article below.
This past Wednesday on TVOne saw a new episode of R&B Divas LA. All of the women were back and ready for action. Claudette Ortiz had to sit out last week due to a terrible accident with her daughter and she was brought up to speed with everything that she missed. Michel'le was focused on her EP. Chante Moore and Lil Mo were all about rehearsing for the monologues and they got some of that time in.
For most of the episode, Dawn Robinson and Kelly Price weren't shown, up until the last 5 minutes. Lil Moe met with Kelly to talk, but Kelly unleashed that diva and wasn't down for it. Lil Mo popped off and Kelly didn't seem to give two shits about what she had to say. Then as a shocker, at the very end, Dawn appears with Kelly on a big ass billboard sign advertising their "Not Ya Mama's Monologues" without the other ladies. So I can only imagine what's gonna happen next week. Watch it below.
Well, it seems like those reports that surfaced a few days ago about Beyonce and Jay-Z purchasing the iconic Regal Theater in Chicago are false. News broke that the power couple forked over $250,000 to purchase the theater that's been home to Chicago since 1927.
After further investigation, NBC found out that two celebrities are behind the purchase, but it is not BeyJay. Also, the sale is still pending for whoever bought the theater. Nothing is finilazied yet. I'm sure news will break as soon as those coins come through. Check out the report below.
The Game returned to BET Tuesday with a brand new episode. This one was all about Tasha and Malik. No one else. The two of them went to therapy. He's the same therapist that Jason's ex wife Kelly sought after in earlier seasons of the show, so she recommended Tasha to visit him.
During the visit, we we're granted an update on Kelly as she's living the good life in Paris and the daughter comes to visit her during the Summer and on holidays. Other than that, Tasha and Malik made revelations about their relationship and emotions ran high. Watch the episode below.
Who's the bigger selling artist? Well, if the past weeks numbers are anything to go by, one would argue that it's Katy Perry. She and Lady Gaga released highly anticipated singles over the past few weeks and engaged in a nice chart battle. "Roar" was released a week earlier than "Applause" and both songs impacted the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
"Roar" opened at number #85 but over the course of a week skyrocketed to #2 by selling over 500K digital copies, gaining over 3 million music streams and 63 million audience impressions. "Applause" on the other hand sits at #6 on the charts, scored only 218K digital copies and 31 million audience impressions. So there you have it. Katy - 1, Gaga - 0!!
Lady Gaga's album "ARTPOP" is due out November 11th, and Katy Perry's "Prism" will hit stores on October 22nd. We're still waiting on the video for "Roar" to drop. Gaga's "Applause" video saw positive reviews and many believe it will help her song climb the charts.....but I don't think it will.
"Nothing Was The Same" is the name of Drake's new album and it will drop on September 24th. The project will feature his singles "Started From the Bottom", "All Me", & "Hold On, We're Going Home". It will have productions from Kanye West, Timbaland, Noah and more.
He has two covers for the album, the one above is artwork of him done by artist Kadir Nelson who designed Michael Jackson's posthumous album cover "Michael". There is another cover below which features a baby version of Drake with a mini pick in his Afro puff!
Tamar Braxton is pressing forward the newest single from her upcoming album "Love and War". The singer just released her newest offering from the project called "All the Way Home". The R&B ballad showcases yet another flawless vocal performance from her.
Her voice just puts a smile on my face. the song is very sultry and smooth. She completely snapped at the end! She put the runs into RUNS! She shut down the world and gave me nothing but life at the end! Listen to the track below.
A few days ago, Chris Brown dropped the video to the Nicki Minaj assisted single "Love More" which if lifted from his delayed album "X". This is the third single from the project which was supposed to see a release today, but the album has been silently pushed back. As of now, it has no release date.
The video is typical Chris, funny, silly and party boy hitting up a club and dancing the night away. Nicki stepped in and gave the song a little spice with her verse. Check out the video after the break.
The two of these stellar individuals made magic back in the 90's and they're looking to recreate it. Toni Braxton and Babyface have teamed up for a brand new duets album. It will drop on December 3rd and is called "Love, Marriage & Divorce".

Many believe that it will be the first offering from her upcoming eight studio album. If this is the case, we will see her battle it out with the likes of Lady Gaga and Katy Perry. This is going to be one big end of the year in music. The heavy hitters are coming out to play but Britt will slay slay slay!! Stay tuned.
Today, Lady Gaga premiered her highly anticipated video for "Applause". It's he first single lifted from her upcoming album "ARTPOP" which is due out on November 11th. It's serves as the first single from the project. The cllip was directed by Inez & Vinoodh.
The video is very theatrical. We see a lot off different faces and different forms of Gaga. She comes to us in human flesh, next thing you know her head is attached to an ostrich. She looks great, body is in hot shape...but as far as the video goes for me, it's typical Gaga. Nothing really wowed me. Peep it below.
Jennifair returns with a new single from her upcoming album "S.I.N.S." It's the follow up to her debut mixtape "Quaz" which saw a release in December. She's been on her grind ever since. The name of this island flavored tune is called "Come Home With Me".
The Drum Mage produced track showcases a Jamaican driven beat with Jen singing lyrics in a tangy reggae style. She sings about putting her hands around a girl's secrets and bringing her home. Listen to the Mogeul Media Records starlet sing it below!
R&B Divas returned to TV One last night with a brand spanking new episode. It was titled "Diva Throw Down" and boy did it go down! The show picked up right where it left off. Michel'le returned and was being brought up to speed with everything that happened between the meetings, and more.
Chante Moore felt some kind of way with Kelly Price bring Timberland boots and Vaseline to a rehearsal but Kelly says it wasn't directed towards her. They were mere props for rehearsal *side eye*... She also used the meeting to pull out of the "Not Yo Mama's Monologues".
Meanwhile Dawn and her boyfriend explored further options for having a child and it looks like they've found they're calling. But shortly after she found out Kelly pulled out the show, she decided to do he same thing saying that Kelly was being thrown under the bus...and Lil Mo went IN! Check it below.

I just felt the need to discuss miss Ciara's rapid decline in today's music industry. It's been a long and tough road for her and I don't think she's going to see the light a the end of the tunnel anytime soon and it's very unfortunate. She has bee in the game since 2004 as she erupted into our world with her "Goodies" and more.
Some say that it was her best album and era. Others argue that "Ciara: The Evolution" was her best. I feel that that's where she went wrong. "The Evolution"....somewhere within that evolution, she lost herself musically and hasn't been able to find it again. I just think that she's been lost since then. The fact that she turned down the public's request to be the princess of "Crunk n' B" is where she met her demise,
