Now that Rihanna has secured her a #1 album on the charts, we probably won't have to endure another album from her next year. "Unapologetic" opened with over 230K copies sold giving her the top spot. Her single "Diamonds" hit the top spot as well.
Question is, will her next single "Pour It Up" follow in it's footsteps? The "Bands A Make Her Dance" remix is a fan favorite and a very popular club anthem. I can see why it's being released but it doesn't have Billboard Hot 100 appeal. But I do like the song. Listen to it below.
Two years ago, Mariah Carey tried re-creating the success of her very first Christmas album "Merry Christmas" by releasing the "Merry Christmas II You" album which was simply a recreation of everything she once did. She even used older pictures for the album's packaging and had them noticeably photo-shopped.
She was so desperate for success that she even used Justin Bieber to try to secure a hit Christmas album but failed miserably. So now she is gonna continue to beat the dead horse by RE-RE:LEASING that album. Why? I don't know but eventually that dead horse is gonna wake up and kick the shit outta someone for beating it for so long...
Remember earlier in the year I reported that Beyoncé was teaming up with Oprah's "OWN" to launch a reality television show? Back in April, a source told me that cameras had been following Beyoncé's family and camp around to record footage for the reality show, but we were wrong, there were cameras but for a different reason.
The footage was for this new HBO Documentary that will air on Feb. 16th, 2013. It is set to be a very vulnerable and personal look into the life of Beyoncé; the person, not the entertainer. There is first person footage captured by B as well as raw footage from the productions camera crew. The set is schedule to air weeks after her massive Super Bowl performance.
Last month, Marie Dahlstrom cut a rug in the studio with her cover of Phil Colin's "In The Air". She chopped it up at Cream Studios in London last month and nailed it. Her sultry voice along with her band created a perfect cover. She laced the stong with her signature style and sound.
Also, a few days ago, she visited the same studio and gave us a live original song from her called "Search". The song was released back in July along with the video which won me over. There live performance just makes me love it more. Check out the sessions below.
Next week, Alicia Keys will unleash her new album on the world. "Girl on Fire" marks her fifth studio album with a few features, being Nicki Minaj and Maxwell. The album also features production credits from Babyface, Swizz Beatz, Dr. Dre and more.
The lead single "Girl on Fire" has been climbing the charts, it now sits at #28 on Billboard's Hot 100. After the break, you can check out an exclusive listen to the album in full only right here on Dimp-Zone. Once you finish, tell me what you think about it.
Hip-Hop heavyweight LL Cool J is preparing to release a brand new album called "Authentic Hip-Hop". He's ready to return to the music scene and stateed that he is not trying to copete with the 17-year olds on the radio.
It will mark his 14th album and will only feature Monica and Joe. The album is lead by the singles "Ratchet" and "Take It". Check out the track listng below and listen to the new song.
Rihanna has done it again. The singer has managed to notch her 12th #1 single on Billboard's Hot 100 Chart. Her single "Diamonds" which was produced by Stargate & Benny Blanco jumped from 2-1, replacing rock group Maroon 5.
This achievement surpasses the likes of Whitney Houston and Janet Jackson who has 11 and 10 #1 singles respectively. She is now tied with Madonna and is just a few albums away from Mariah Carey's whopping 18 #1 singles.
"Diamonds" joins her previous hits like "Only Girl In The World", "Rude Boy", "Umbrella" ,"We Found Love" and more. That Rihanna reign just won't let up. Her new album "Unapologetic" is projected to sell between 240-260K copies, which would make it her biggest opening album ever.
With the release of her new album "Woman to Woman" hitting stores this week, Keyshia Cole is wasting no time hitting up the promotional scene. Early today, the songstress released a few pictures from her album shoot by non other than Derek Blanks.
As you can see, the photos look a bit familiar, simply because the idea behind this shoot was to blend in Keyshia's previous looks from her past albums with the new one. Above is a recreated shot from her first album "The Way It Is". Check out more shots below.

Above is the first look at Queen Tara, who is voiced by Beyoncé in an upcoming animated movie called "Epic". It's a 3D film by Blue Sky Studios and 20th Century Fox Animation that will be released by the Summer of 2013.
Queen Tara is a mother nature type figure who has sworn to protect the forest and the source of it's magic. The film centers on Mary Katherine who begins her journey by questioning her dad, Prof. Bomba, about whether a hidden world of leaf-armored warriors really exists in the woods.
After finding herself transported to the forest, she must then save the world from the ever present evil by creating the most unlikely team the magical forest can offer. Check out more photos from the flick lifted from The YBF.
Fresh from the stage on the American Music Awards last night, Nicki Minaj announced there that the video for "Freedom" would be premiering today along with the release of her new album "Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded: The Re-Up".
The video was shot in England in five degree temperatures with hail striking the set. The part black & white and part color video was directed by Colin Tilley and shows off a crowned, glamorous and peaceful Nicki singing along to the song. Check it out below.
As the night came to a close, some of the biggest acts walked away with awards for being the best at what they do. Justin Beiber was the big winner taking home three awards, Nicki Minaj scooped up two awards while Rihanna & Beyoncé nabbed one trophy.
Below you will see a full list of winners. Check it out after the break
As last night,, some of the biggest names in music took to the stage to perform on the American Music Awards which took place at the Nokia Theater in downtown Los Angeles. We saw performances from Nicki Minaj, Chris Brown, Justin Bieber, Usher and more.
There was even a surprise guest that shocked viewers. MC Hammer made his way back onto the stage as he partnered with PSY and mashed up the hits "Gangnam Style" and "2 Legit 2 Quit" and in my opinion was the best performance of the night. You can check out all of the performances below.
Last night was a big night for music lovers. The American Music Awards took place in Los Angeles downtown at the Nokia Theater. The night was full of music and fun with lots of appearances and performances.

If you missed this larger than life special, then don't fret, I've got you covered. Last night, a special aired on CBS to celebrate the life and legacy of the late great Whitney Houston who died back in February. "We Will Always Love You: A Grammy Solute to Whitney Houston" was the name of the event where lots of family and friends attended.
The night was packed with performers like Jennifer Hudson, who performed a string of melodies, Celine Dion took to the stage, as well as Usher , Yolanda Adams and CeCe Winanas. They all performed a song from the legendary diva to commemorate the mark that she left on the music industry. Check out the performances below.
Here's another highly anticipated album that folks are eager to hear. Rihanna and her "Unapologetic" album is set to be released this Tuesday and it birthed the hit single "Diamonds". The album features 15 tracks which includes one bonus song.
Inside, you'll hear features from Chris Brown, Eminem, David Guetta and more. The album is packed with a variety of tunes from slick and ratchet urban, to pure pop ballads. I have a few favorites of my own. Give the full album a listen below, exclusively here on Dimp-Zone.
Here's a treat for you. If you can't wait to get you hands on Keyshia Cole's newest effort Tuesday, then you can get an exlcusive listen it right here on Dimp-Zone. "Woman to Woman" is her newest album and is preceeded by the single "Enough of No Love" and "Trust and Believe".
No, no you won't be able to download it, you can only listen to it. I don't condone those type of things. The album is flawless and packed with mid-tempo and slow ballads. It features Robin Thicke, Lil Wayne, Ashanti and a few other collaborators. Get your first listen below.
A local Philadelphia man is being hospitalized after he was stabbed by a T-Mobile employee at an uptown location. The 54 year old man entered the store to contest his monthly bill which was higher than he felt it should be.
He confronted one of the sales representatives which was 21 year old Darnell Schoolfield and it escalted from there. The employee is seen on camera sticking the customer with an object and is now wanted for attempted homicide and aggravated assault. Check it out below.
And the songs keep on coming. Nicki Minaj teamed up with Ciara on a track for the upcoming album "Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded: The Re-Up". The album is due out November 19th. The song is called "I'm Legit".
This is very very differnet from the song you just heard below this post. It kond of had me a bit confused. It's also reminded me of Rihanna's deliverance in her song "Pour It Up". The lyrics in here are hilarious, but the chuorus sounds a god aweful mess. Listen in below.
Nicki Minaj's "Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded: The Re-Up" album is shaping up to be a damn good one. It's due out in a few short weeks. Last week on her E! reality show, we saw her and Lil Wayne in the studio putting the finishing touches on this particular song called "High School".
The song focuses more on her actually rapping with less auto tuned vocals lacing the track. It's a perfect fit. I could see it on any of her albums actually and since they're all a continuation of each other, it fits and flows perfectly. Listen to it below.
I told yall that Rihanna's album leaked, and the songs are popping on the net left and right. The latest being the bonus track to her "Unapologetic" album. The song is called "Half of Me" and is probably one of the only meaningful songs on the project.
It's pretty much a record about no one knowing all of her. People only get to see the half of it, being on camera, the music, the videos and parties. It's a clear statement that the world doesn't know the real her. Listen to it below.
A south African man was arrested and charge after he attempted to board a flight while $2.3M in diamonds sat inside his belly. The man was taking a trip to Dubai when a body scan revealed that he ingested the diamonds in an attempt to smuggle them.
Estimates suggest that a total of 220 purely polished diamonds were swallowed. Isn't that deadly or something? You probably heard them inside of him while he walked. I'm sure that they made him shit out every last one. Peep the report below.
We've known for a while now that the two of these woman collaborated on the title track for Keyshia Cole's upcoming album "Woman to Woman". The song features Ashanti and is a simply beautiful R&B ballad.
This heartfelt song reminds me of the duets with Brandy & Monica, Fantasia & Jennifer Hudson, and Beyonce & Mary J. Blige. It just puts them all in the same boats and so far, this particular duet is the best yet. Give it a listen below.
Ke$ha is keeping the party going on her latest offering from her upcoming album "Warrior". The name of this Dr. Luke produced tracked is called "C'Mon". It is the follow up to "Die Young" which managed to crack the top 10 on Billboard's Hot 100.
This song isn't really any different from the first single, it's actually kind of disappointing because it's typical. This is what I'm starting to expect from her and I would love to hear a different sound from her with. Take a listen below.
With the release of her new album, "Unapologetic" just days away, Rihanna has begun the promotional trail and it's is in full force. Following her raunchy cover and photo shoot with GQ magazine (which I didn't care too much about) comes her covering the latest issue of Billboard Magazine.
She is currently on her "777" tour, which celebrates her seventh album while touring in seven different cities around the world in just seven days. Of course the album leaked yesterday and is making it's rounds on the net. Do you think that will hinder it from making the #1 spot?
This needs to go down as Foolery of the Day. Lady Gaga has been teasing about an upcoming rap song that she had worked on called "Cake". Today the teaser for the video premiered and from what I hear, it will be a hot ugly ass mess.
Terry Richardson directed the visual and in the preview, we see a wild and crazy, booty slapping and talking on a track. It's definitely something different for her. I don't know what the hell she's trying to pull but I'm sure heads will turn. Check it out below.
The show must go on. Here is episode two of Nicki Minaj's My Truth special which aired on E! this past Sunday night. The show follows her around capturing the chaoti schedule and deadlines that she must meet as well as prepping her new album "Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded: The Re-Up", tours and more.
This week, we see more of her video shoot with Cassie for "The Boys", we watch her rehearse for her tour, she hits the studio with Lil Wayne, talks about the American Idol and Mariah Carey incident and more. Check it out below.
Now this his old album era is over and done with, Chris Brown can focus on his new album and doing actually interviews to promote it. Last week, the singer premiered his first single "Nobody's Perfect" from his new album "Carpe Diem" which will hit store early next year.
But before he premiered the song, he sat down wit Big Boy's Neighborhood and gave a very candid, yet revealing interview. They talked about a number of things from sex, music, movies, his Halloween costume, Rihanna, Jay-Z, Drake, Kurruche Transylvania and a lot more. Check out the clips below.
Kelly Rowland has finally premiered the video for the single "Ice" which features Lil Wayne. The song is the first offering from her upcoming album "Year of the Woman". The song has been out since July and is currently at #100 on Billboard's Hot 100.
The video is just as sexy as the song. Lil Wayne doesn't make an appearance in this video. Instead we see Kelly working, twerking and thrusting her body all over the place being as sexy as she can. The emphasis on ice was clearly played well throughout the clip. Peep it below.
Change is very possible. Fanny is living proof. In just a short six months, Fantasia has turned her entire body around. She's hotter than ever. That's what happens when you go through a nasty break up. You get depressed and bloated, then after a few month, you end up looking like a damn god.
Well, I won't go all that far but she does look good. Last night she attended the Soul Train Music Awards. She is also gearing up for the release of her next studio album. She's been in the studio all year working on it. Check out more hot pics after the break.
T-Boz from the singing group TLC is not one to hold her tongue. She says what she wants, when she wants and how she wants. Yesterday, the preview for an interview that she did with This is Max hit the web and she said some things...
....Things that a few retarded bloggers seem to think was ONLY geared towards Nicki Minaj, however we here at Dimp-Zone don't think that's the case. Below you can check out the clip yourself as she blatantly calls out Kim Kardashian, Nicki Minaj & another judge from one of the shows.
These music videos are dropping left and right. Keyshia Cole is the latest to have her video hit the inter-web tonight. The second single from her album "Woman to Woman" has gotten the video treatment. It's called "Trust & Believe".
The clip was directed by Benny Boom and co stars Tae Hackford, most known from the television show "The Game", and Rotimi. The video revolves around two best friends with one cheating and sleeping with the other's man behind her back. The ending is simply deadly. Check it out below.
Ke$ha may have cleaned up her hair, but her act is still very naughty and filthy.....and I LOVE It. The video for her single "Die Young" premiered today. The track is the first single from her upcoming album "Warrior" which is due out this month.
The clip was filled with unusual symbols thought to be that of the Illuminati cult, Ke$ha going strong and being sleazy in the house of the lord and just moving and grooving on sea of guys. She was really acting like she was going to die young all while flaunting that hott new body. Peep it below.
Rihanna's long awaited video for "Diamonds" made it's official premiere today. The single is lifted from her upcoming album "Unapologetic" which is due out November 19th. The clip was directed by Anthony Mandler.
The video shows lots of symbolism towards different kinds of love. We also noticed a light skinned, heavily tattooed arm which is believed to resemble non other than Chris Brown. Check out the well crafted visual after the break.
If you're on of those #RihannaNavy people that just can't wait to hear what Rihanna has instored for you on her new album "Unapologetic", then you can get a taste of it here. Below you can hear an album sampler from the singer.
The project will feature 14 songs plus one as a bonus and it features Chris Brown, Eminem, Fututre, David Guetta and Mkkey Ekko. Below you can check out the track listing as you follow along while listening to the sampler.
Black Girls Rock was definitely epic night. The show was recorded a little over a month ago but aired over the weekend on BET. The ceremony celebrates the work of black women in the music business and it was filled with performances from your favorites.
Alicia Keys, Ciara, Missy Elliott, India Arie, Keyshia Cole, Brandy, and more took to the stage to show why they rock. The night was filled with great and energized performances. Check them all out below.
It looks like these two won't become bff's anytime soon. Billboard is reporting that Lady Gaga gracefully turned down Madonna's offer to duet with her on stage. That comes after a long year of feuding between the two.
"I have the best fans in the whole world. So take that, Lady Gaga!" Madonna told the crowd. "You know, I invited her onstage to sing with me. But, she turned me down. It's okay. I've been rejected before. It builds a little character."
Madonna could also be trying to boost sales of her flopped album "MDNA" which just suffered a painful death. Even the Super Bowl didn't help revive that mess. It just simply shows that Lady Gaga doesn't need her.
Pop diva Mariah Carey is trying to capitalize on our President Obama's re-election but we all know that this won't help her stalling career either. Last night, Obama was officially re-elected for another what's going to be four outstanding years in the White House.
Mariah performed this song for a fundraiser over the Summer and now Jermaine Dupree has released it in studio format after the big win. The track was penned by Mariah herself and has a mere gospel feel to it. Give the track a listen below.
Just in case you missed the premiere of Nicki Minaj's reality show on E!, you can watch it here. She show is called "Nicki Minaj: My Truth" and follows her busy and hefty work schedule. We get to see a busier Nicki work her way around the stuido recoding her new album, American Idol and more.
We also get to see footage of Nicki Minaj's interactions with her crew and fans. She states that if it wasn't for he fans should would quit the business. Lastly, she goes IN on blogger Perez Hilton about the lies he publishes on his website. Check out the full episode below.
Christina Aguilera is embarking on the reelase of her brand new album "Lotus". The first single "Your Body" was simply a disappointment on the charts as well as it's her first performance of it. Well, in her defense, it was more of a skit, but performance. But any who, a new song surfaced in full today.
The track is called "Blank Page". It's a powerful piano ballad when her uncontrollably singing all over the place and screeching loudly in my god given ears. You say it's her signature sound, I say it's a hot ass mess. Take a listen to the song below.
Nicki Minaj is quite the character, on or off camera. The rapper took time off while she was touring in the U.K. to visit Alan Carr on his "Chatty Man" talk show. The interview was quite hilarious and very personable. Not to mention how great Nicki looked.
The two of them talked about a number of things ranging from her declining the X-Factor offer, her pimped up new album, American Idol her new reality show and more. I think this interview was fun because Nicki cut loose. She wasn't reserved and just had fun. Watch it below.
Rihanna wants you to know that she goes through an entire journey before putting out an album. What she doesn't want you to know is that the journey she takes is only about 2 days. I just refuse to believe that there's an actual journey that she embarks on before putting out an album. It's just not possible. I do not consider this any type of journey what so ever. It's simply a bunch of put together clips of Rihanna being Rihanna.
Nothing in this clip screams out "this is what I've been doing and working hard on that led me to record my new album Unapologetic." It simply does not. She can fool me. I can see pass all of that maybelene. This is a joke. Don't go take a camera and film some random shit in two days and call it a journey because it's not. Going to gun ranges, taking random photos in front of a plane, rehersing for performances that have nothing to do with the album?
Where's the footage from the "Diamonds" tour that she's planning? You know, behinds the scenes of the new "Diamonds" video? That's what I'm looking for. Not this bull. This video alone is a clear examply of why I love and hate her at times. Her team will just throw any damn thing together and call it something. Watch this foolery below. Her Navy ofcourse is eating it up but I will not. Bitch can't pull wool over my eyes and tell me the sky is green. Never!!
Brandy has dropped the visual for her song "Wildest Dreams". It serves as the second single from her album "Two Eleven" which hit stores a few weeks ago. The album reached the #3 spot on Billboard's 200 Albums Chart and now sits at #10.
The song is sitting at #50 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay Chart, so it's slowly making moves. As for the video, it's a put together clip with a performances and random clips of her singing and dancing to the lyrics. Check out the video below.
Natalia Kills is hard at work on her upcoming album "Trouble" which is set to drop sometime next year. The first single "Controversy" was simply a smash in my eyes and so was the video. That song has an entire different feel from this one. This dreamy ballad is called "Heart to Break".
It's rumored to be the second single from the project but nothing has yet to be confirmed. The song is simply stunning and shows a rarely seen vulnerable side of the songstress. Inside she wonders if the guy she loved even had a heart that was able to be broken. Listen to it below.
Fans thought that Alicia Keys forgot all about Nicki Minaj since she wasn't featured in the first "Girl On Fire" video that premiered, but yessterday that changed. A version with a toned down looking Nicki hit the inter-web and is serving as the official video.
Not much different from the first, this one is simply retouched with a dash of Nicki Minaj. The song itsself is climbing the charts. It moved from #47 to #28 in just a week on Billboard's Hot 100. It also sits at #3 on the newly created R&B Songs Chart. Peep the video below.
