With the premiere of her new single "Diamonds" just days away, Rihanna has gifted her fans a glimpse of the official single cover. Her new album is rumored to be out this November. Home girl is wrapping a diamond filled blunt and doesn't give a damn about what you think.
This will easily cause some controversy, but I can see where the idea came from. This song is described as been a happy, hipster, and free. Hipsters are normally associated with smoking pot so this was their perfect vision for a single cover. What do you think?
A few months back, reports surfaced that Pooch Hall wouldn't be reprising his role for season six of the hit BET show The Game. Neither Tia Mowry for that matter, and they were both the stars of the show. Things we're mum, no one talked about it much and no reason was given why. We've since learned of replacement characters as well.
Well now, it looks like Derwin Davis is back in the game. Pooch paid a visit to 106th & Park where he set the record straight and confirmed to the world the he will indeed be making a return to the new season as Derwin Davis. He made it clear that he wasn't not fired, nor did he walk off the show. He simply said his contract was up. But things are looking good. Peep the clip below.

The album's release marks a 15 year anniversary since the girls had their first #1 single with "No, No, No Pt. II". Mathew Knowles indicated that two albums would be out, and one will feature unheard songs. Below you can check out the track list for this compilation.
A few years ago, music fans we're sent into a frenzy when it was announced that Alicia Keys and Beyoncé we're going to do a song together. They damn near died when they found out that it was going to be a single along with a video. The duo flew down to Rio to film the clip for "Put It In A Love Song" but it never saw the light of day.
No one spoke anything of it. It was like it never happened and fan we're disappointed. They wanted to know why. Well, speaking to Essence magazine, Alicia vaguely tells the world the reasoning behind it's shelving. She also doesn't give any word on if the fans will actually EVER see it surface on a DVD compilation or anything. Check it out below.
Well hot digggety damn! I thought the year was going to fly buy with no new album form Rihanna, but I guess I was dead wrong. About a month or so ago, the singer announced her new "2013 Diamonds" world tour and no one knew what it was for. Some speculated that i was for her "Talk That Talk" era but it's not looking that way.
A brand new single has been announced and it's called "Diamonds". The track was laced together by Stargate, Sia, and Benny Blanco and is already a certified hit. The song is expected to premiere as early as Monday. While the Rihanna and her camp has been rather quiet about the new material, the producers are spilling all of the juice.
Nothing has been confirmed just yet, it's all speculation but I think we'll see more of Rihanna for the next year or so. God help us all. I love her to death, but someone needs to tell her ass to have a seat. The funny thing is once the single comes out, I'll probably be all over it, because I love her music. I wouldn't be mad at her if she took a year or two off though...

Usher had a nice long sit down with Oprah on her "Next Chapter" show. It was the singers first and last time addressing his personal life openly with the world. He recently won a long three year custody battle against his ex-wife Tameka Foster and decided to let the big O invade his mind.
Inside they chat about a wide range of topics including his career of course, the marriage, the public hatred, the fall out with his mother and the demise of his marriage. She also bombarded him with question that he dodged directly answering such as the infidelity rumors.
Later, the two we're joined by his mother where she gave her side of the story about the decisions she and Usher made throughout his time in the industry. It was a very in depth interview, though I do feel that I didn't witness a genuine Usher. Check it out below.
The second episode of The X-Factor aired just a day after the premiere. Britney Spears, Demi Lovato, Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid took to a few more cities to search for more hopefuls. They encountered some more great talents, and more not so great.

Get used to these four faces, as they will be coming to your television stations in January as the 12th season of the singing competition that started it all "American Idol" returns. It was announced today that Nicki Minaj would be joining the likes of Mariah Carey, Keith Urban & Randy Jackson as official judges on the show.
Not only will this be easy promotion for the new judges, but an easy phat check. Mariah scored a whopping $18 million deal, Nicki snagged a cool $8 million while Keith settled for $4 million. None of which compared to Simon Cowell's last season on idol which made him $35 million richer. Below you can check out a few photos from the new judges.
Poor Chris Brown, this nightmare will haunt him for the rest of his life. His latest album "Fortune", which reached #1 in the U.S. and U.K. when it was released in July, has been slapped with a warning sticker in local HMV stores across the pond according to Sandra Rose.
The sticker reads, "WARNING DO NOT BUY THIS ALBUM! THIS MAN BEATS WOMEN". It's a shame because this man has done his time. He has been working hard to rebuild what he had left of a career and the world is still taunting him.
why would the store even allow that? Why carry a product if you don't want people to buy it? It's a waste of money and revenue. SMH...Things like this makes me feel sorry for him. He can't move on from that dark and scary night because the world won't let him.
The beautifully talented Leona Lewis has premiered the video for her new single "Trouble". The track features Childish Gambino, but not the video. It's the first single lifted her her album "Glassheart" which is due out next month.

Last night saw the premiere of the second season of the X-Factor. The night was filled with awesome and awful auditions and also the world saw pop superstars Britney Spears and Demi Lovato make their judging debuts. Sitting along side Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid, the two definitely held their own.

Another washed up act is attempting to make a comeback. She' in the same lane as Mariah Carey as far as I'm concerned. Christina Aguilera will premiere her new single "Your Body" within the next few days and today during a Q&A with fans on Twitter, she released the single's artwork.
She also revealed the album's title which is "Lotus" and release date of November. Of course the release will collide with the return of her show "The Voice" which means free promotion for her. Too bad it won't help much.

Over the past few days, news about Ciara's new album "One Woman Army" and her single "Sorry" has been dominating the internet. Where have I been you asked? Working like a mad man. So I've been keeping up, just haven't had the time to post anything about this extravagant news.

It looks like Epic Records is pulling out all the stops to make this an official come back. Check out more photos and the clip for her new video below.
As you may know, I never fell into the Carly Rae Jepsen "Here's my number, so call me maybe" craze, I've only posted one story about her and it was when she performed at the 2012 Billboard Music Awards. Her song was an instant smash it and shot to #1 making it one of the most popular songs of the summer. Now that the hype is over, it's time to move on to single number two.
This new song is called "This Kiss" and it is the official second single from her upcoming album called "Kiss" and will hit stores September 18th. The question is will this song match the success of the first single or will she go down as a one hit wonder? You be the judge and listen to the new song below.
Just after hitting the stage on the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards last night, P!nk unleashed her official second single from the upcoming album "The Truth About Love" which drops Sept. 18th. The track was written by Busbee and Ben West while the production was helmed by Greg Kurstin.

Just when you thought she was done, Nicki Minaj pulls a fast one and confirms that she's re-releasing her "Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded" album this November. She revealed exclusively to E! I know I wasn't the only one who felt that the MTV Video Music Awards aired on an unusual Thursday night. It was the same night of President Barack Obama speech held at the 2012 Democratic National Convention.
The 40-minute long video was that of our President formally accepting his democratic nomination for another round of presidency in America. The election will come this November and will see him face off with the republican nominee Mitt Romney.
All eyes were on Obama last night and over the past few weeks, news and social media outlets have been lit up with news surrounding these two candidates.
