This marks the fourth number one single in a row for Katy Perry from her cotton candy smelling album "Teenage Dream". That's a huge accomplishment for her. Jennifer Hudson Bows at #2 While Chris Brown Soars to #1

No comments:

The first weeks sales figures are in! As predicted Chris Brown storms to the top of the chart with his "F.A.M.E." album selling approximately 1 Million 273,346 copies. This marks his FIRST number one album of his career. His last album"Graffiti" debuted at number 7 selling only a mere 102k copies.

Jennifer Hudson bowed at number 2 selling 167,373 copies of her sophomore album "I Remember Me". Her debut album sold over 200k copies in it's first week of release. But those are still good numbers for Jennifer but with her extensive promotional schedule, I expected the album to sell a tad bit more.

Bobby V. landed at number 9 with his album "Fly On The Wall" selling 32,142 copies.

I don't understand why Chris thought he was going to sell over a million copies within the first week. The album is HOT but damn, it's hard for people to reach a million copies throughout the album's era now-a-days. But good job to them both. Next week we'll see where Britney lands. Of course it will be the number one spot being that she literally has no competition. The question is, how many copies will she sell? Will it be the biggest of the year?

Fresh Artist: Porcelain Black

No comments:
This black and blonde bombshell goes by the name of Porcelain Black and she is the newest protege of Lil Wayne and has signed a deal with Universal Republic. She's 25 years old and her first single was produced by RedOne and it's called "This is What Rock n Roll Looks Like" and it features Weezy himself who discovered her and added her to his "I Am Music II" tour lineup a an opening act. Check out how she describes her music and the video after the break.

“My music is like if Britney Spears and Marilyn Manson fucked and had a kid, it would be me,” she says, describing her sound.

“‘Cause it’s like dance-pop, but it’s industrial Marilyn Manson, Nine Inch Nails.”

I love it!! I love her!!! She's so cute but trashy!! The song is just so out there, I think one of RedOne's best productions. She has the voice of a pop singer but the swag of a rock star. It's very different and very out there. I can dig it! Her debut album is set to drop later this year so keep an eye out.

This is definitely one of her best songs to date. Throughout her entire career. It's my personal favorite. I won't have a problem reaching number one. I can see it now. "My California king!!" Vocally, she NAILED it, every note...I just hope by the time she gets around to performing it that she will sound just as good.

Chris Brown GMA Details Emerge + More Pics

No comments:

Details are emerging about what went down in the ABC studios during Chris Brown's freak out. Pics and details below viz TMZ & TheYBF.

We're told after the interview, Brown freaked out, storming into his dressing room and screaming so loud, the people in hair and makeup became alarmed and called security.

We're told Brown was out of control, and one source present tells us he smashed a window in his dressing room, and the glass shattered and some shards fell onto 43rd and Broadway.

We're told by the time security rushed the area, Brown had ripped off his shirt and left the building, blowing off another performance he was supposed to do for the ABC website.

And sources say ... on his way out of the building, Brown confronted a segment producer, got in his face and stared him down. People from the show got in between Chris and the producer to diffuse the situation.

DAMMIT CHRIS!!! I'm sure videos will surface soon and damage him even more...

Chris Brown Gives GMA A Tantrum + Broken Window

No comments:
Things were going good for Chris Brown, until Today. He stopped by Good Morning America where he was set to perform and promote his new album, "F.A.M.E.", which is in stores today. All was going well, until the interview came about where host Robin Roberts started to asked him questions about the whole Rihanna situation that happened 2 years ago & the new lifting of restraining orders but Chris noticeably tried to bring the topic BACK to his album release and promotion which is why he was there. Peep the clip below..

He kept his cool on the cameras, but when they wrapped up, that when sources say Chris Brown threw a tantrum, yelling and screaming and even breaking the window in his dressing room. The picture above is of Chris leaving the studios shirtless right after the tantrum. Peep the report below.

According to TMZ, he was so angry following the appearance that he lost control, started screaming loudly, and ended up breaking a window in his dressing room. He was scheduled to do another web-only performance, but blew it off and instead exited the building.

He vented his frustration on Twitter with an errant tweet that he later deleted. “I’m so over people bringing this past s**t up!!! Yet we praise Charlie sheen and other celebs for there bulls**t,” he wrote, adding a more positive note in its wake. “All my fans!!! This album is for you and only you!!! I’m so tired of everyone else!! Honestly!! I love team breezy!!”

Roberts claims that she and her “GMA” staff spoke with Chris prior to the on-air interview and approved “a few questions” about the Rihanna incident. She insists that she did not try to set him up, saying, “I’m pulling for the guy.”

So here's my two pence...If he consented to the questions, then why throw the fit? I'm almost 100% positive that had he said "NO QUESTIONS ABOUT RIHANNA" the n there would be none. As a celebrity, he should be used to this by now. Throughout his entire career, he will be asked questions that he's tired of answering or that he doesn't want to hear or see it being brought up time and time again. It happens to EVERY celebrity. It's just how it's handled which makes or BREAKS the situation. In this BROKE alright, a dayum window was broken due to the situation being brought up. That does nothing but gives him a BIG set back. Who will want them in their studios after he throws fits and breaks windows? Didn't he graduate from anger management? Or did he just pay to get the certificate? Because obviously that class didn't do him any justice if he can just lose his cool and break a window. Now what if he had attacked Robin Roberts? The fact that he still has anger issues will prevent him from visiting another show and getting his apperarnaces pulled but this is an act of childishness. Who is 21 years old and still throws "tantrums"?? Come-on Chris, I was rooting for you, AGAIN and you let me down. SMH.....oh and here's the performance.

That auto-tune sounds AWFUL!!! Get it together Chris. He still looks good though.

Jennifer Hudson Performs on GMA

No comments:
Jennifer Hudson took to the stage this morning on Good Morning America. She welcomed in Spring with her vibrant orange and purple ensemble and performed her song "Where You At" which is the first single from her album "I Remember Me" hitting stores tomorrow. Check out the performance below.

Loved the performance, but I DIDN'T like how to host messed up her intro saying that she was about to sing the TITLE of her new album "Where You At". No! NO NO NO NO NO!! Get it together, these t.v. show hosts need to pack in some research before talking to or about artists. The title of the album is "I Remember Me", not "Where You At"...get it together. She should have pimped smacked his ass. And did anyone notice that she had George Huff singing in the background on stage, he was on the American Idol show with Jennifer. She mentioned in a previous interview that he will be touring and singing with her. That's good to see that after 8 years, they are still close and good friends. Hopefully he can get on his grind soon. Make sure to get your copy of Jennifer's album tomorrow!!

Jordin Sparks Shows Off Her New Look & New Single

No comments:

Yesterday in Pheonix, Jordin Sparks revealed her new look and her new body. She has lost over 30 pounds. The former American Idol champ has been laying low for the past year or so after releasing her 2009 album "Battlefield. Now now she is prepping a comeback. The video has already been shot for the euro-dance pop single called "Is This Love". Peep what she had to say about the single below.

“I don’t wanna say to much, because it’s gonna blow people away!” Sparks told ABC in a new interview. “I don’t think people are really gonna expect [a song like this] from me.” She describes it as “an upbeat, dance-ier type with a driving beat.”

This all has to be nothing but true and her new look if amazing. She looks good. I just don't know about the whole euro-pop thing for her. I'm not that big of a fan of her uptempo beats. She tried it with "S.O.S. (Let The Music Play) and I wasn't feeling it. With dance-pop comes actual DANCING and I have yet to see Jordin buss a move. But then again, that could be why she is so slim now, dancing is used as a part of a workout routine and she probably has been dancing forever and a day. There's no word on a release date for her new single or album but if shall be coming soon so keep it locked. Any who, peep a few more pics below.

Fresh Music: Kelly Rowland - "I'm That Chick"

1 comment:
With the new release of her first single in heavy rotation on urban radio stations, Kelly Rowland is off to a good start and is moving forward with the release of the new album. Earlier today a song surfaced called "I'm That Chick". This song was recorded for the previous album sessions before it was scrapped. No word on if it will be featured on the new album or not. But check it out below.

This is a hot and ghetto club hitter! I absolutely LOVE it! A lot more that the song "Motivation". I'm almost sure it will be featured on the new album. The only thing that I don't care too much for is the the auto-tune that she's using because she doesn't need it at all. Other than that, I do love the song.

I just thought it would be for the "Born This Way" cover/ The had had them on in the performance, then her interview with Jay Leno, then her video for "Born This Way" and now she STILL has them on on the cover of this magazine. Lets see if she is going to have them on in her next video.

Chris Brown Blushes About Naked Picture

No comments:
A few days ago, Chris Brown stopped by Big Boy's Neighborhood radio show for a promotional interview for his new album, "F.A.M.E.", which is dropping Tuesday. So of course they asked him about the photo and he immediately started turning red and blushing, laughing and couldn't keep still while he was answering. Peep the interview below.

It was cute. He just reminded me of a kid that was highly embarrassed in class or something. He didn't deny anything, he EMPHASIZED that the picture was taken for a girl. That was one of the first things cleared up.....mmmmmmhmmm. Good to see that he's not bitter about the situation and he just laughed and joked it off.

Fresh Music: Jennifer Lopez - "Invading My Mind"

1 comment:
Jennifer Lopez has her gig on American Idol which is going well and her new album "Love?" is set to be released this coming May. Yesterday a track rumored to be on the album surfaced called "Invading My Mind" which was produced by RedOne. Check it out below.

I think that I'm a bit over the whole dance craze. It's either that or I'm just not feeling these productions from RedOne & J.Lo. I'm just ready for something different and new. I hope her whole album doesn't sound this way. She needs to mix it up because dance and dance track just won't do it. The production is that of her first single "On The Floor" which is surprisingly doing well. So lets see if she keeps delivering.
